I am having the same issue as it appears MANY other people are having. From the number of forum posts about the back coming off, this is clearly a design fault in the ScanWatch. These are just some of the forum posts I found after a quick search about this issue on the Withings Support site - yet Withings really offers no support!!!

Given what my watch cost to have it fail after only 14 months and Withings say they have no repair options (really given environmental issues to have yet another disposable product is disgusting), and because it is 2-months outside of warranty it can't be replaced. The fact that Withings have not dealt with what is clearly a design fault via a product recall or providing replacements or providing any decent advice on any of these forum posts I would say this is very poor customer service by Withings.

Although as mine was outside of warranty the best they ended up offering me was 50% discount to buy a new Scanwatch and free shipping to either US, Canada, Mexico, and Europe, which was not much help when I am in Australia. So it may or may not be worth your effort depending on your situation. The discount could only be applied to an equivalent watch...do I really want to buy the same watch and have the same thing happen AGAIN???
As a temporary fix I have stuck the back down with a clear sticker over the top, keeping the charging contacts clear and to get it to charge I put a rubber band around the watch and charger to hold it down firmly. Seems to still work OK for sleep, HR etc. - just not waterproof anymore - but better than throwing away another piece of tech and money!
Very frustrating that there are so many people experiencing this problem and yet Withings refuses to acknowledge it publicly by responding on their own community posts site.
